Bowdon Courtyard

When we moved to Albert Square in Bowdon one of our immediate objectives was to transform our limited garden space into something special.

We had a rough idea of what we wanted to achieve but once we engaged with Frances we had complete confidence that our vision for the garden could become reality.

Frances’ design ideas on different spaces for outside dining, living and general garden use maximised the limited areas we had.

She provided great advice and attention to detail on the materials we would use ranging from timber sleepers, a steel pergola, Indian stone and all weather decking of the highest quality and durability.

Then most importantly Frances gave us superb advice on the selection of trees and shrubs to provide the verde and soft colour aesthetic in the beds and also the all year round screening we required.

Gardens can quickly deteriorate because of high maintenance and material deterioration due to the weather. We can honestly say our garden today looks as immaculate as it did 2 years ago – even better in fact - due to its maturity.”

Timperley Courtyard Garden

We had a nondescript yard that was a decent size and had lots of potential. We have renovated and extended a two-bedroom end terrace into to a four-bedroom end townhouse with a loft and cellar conversion, and we really wanted a garden space that reflected our newly designed home.

We found the overall design process fantastic, Frances showed us that the potential we hoped was there. We signed off the first design she showed us, which we loved!

Frances was a pleasure to work with, from design to finish we felt very looked after and that Frances genuinely cared about creating a special garden for our family.

We love our new garden and have used it is an extension of our home, like another room. What is also great is that Frances still keeps in touch, suggesting seasonal tweaks and additions, such as planting beautiful bulbs.

Frances designed and project-managed our garden makeover and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

It was such a pleasure working with Frances, she is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We are total novices when it comes to gardening and Frances came up with a design that was beautiful but also practical and easy to maintain which was key for us with two small kids.

The project ran extremely smoothly and any issues that came up were managed quickly.

We have already recommended Frances to a number of our friends and would love to work with her again some time in the future. In the meantime we are truly enjoying our now lovely outdoor space.
